Once again Kaeir is threatening Milakanur over the land of Jabua. The small
state has asked for Milakanur to reinstate its protectorship over them and
Milakanur has agreed to do so. Jabua asked Milakanur to do so becuase of
their fears of Kaeir and their aggressive actions towards their trade
interests. Kaeir has of course declared casus belli and claims Milakanur as
the provoker of war.
Rhudyn believes that by their treaty, both of the nations are to recognize
the independent right of Jabua to govern itself. As an independent nation
they have asked Milakanur to accept it as a protectorship again, therefore
the casus belli in the eyes of Rhudyn is void. Kaeir is not recognizing the
right of Jabua to govern itself and is not recognizing the authority of the
Sanoukhate's invitation to Milakanur. In doing so Rhudyn sees Kaeir as the
provoker if a war takes place and will stand by her ally, Milakanur.
According to line 3 and 4 in the treaty of the Coalition:
III. Foreign arms taken up against a coalition member will be disarmed by
all other members of the Coalition.
IV. A declaration of war by a member is not binding for all others but will
be given review in council.
Rhudyn believes that this case will be according to line 3, however with
this situation line 4 might be applicable in the eyes of some nations. As
such Rhudyn will wait to hear what each member of the Coalition believes the
situation to be and will accept their judgment but will uphold the treaty
under line 3 if Kaeir declares war. If the majority of the coalition decides
that line 4 is applicable then Rhudyn will join in the council of review,
but will be actively engaged in defending Milakanur and her lands.
